Since many of you are interested in the operational side of the business, I wanted to share a few insights from that part of the company. 

We’ve previously discussed the idea of an installation app for the Safety Stick. As you might recall, this is a key part of our ability to scale quickly. Right now, every installation requires us to fly team members out to the site—which is clearly not a scalable solution. What we really needed was an app that would allow cities to handle the installation themselves. About a month ago, I shared that we’d been working on this app for over a year—and I’m excited to say that it’s now ready to go.

As you can see, the app is extremely simple to use. Even a monkey holding a screwdriver in one hand, and a banana in the other hand, could install these sticks. Moving forward, we’ll be encouraging all future installations to use the app, which will help us significantly reduce the costs associated with sending teams on-site. Our goal has always been to make it possible to ship Safety Sticks anywhere in the world and have cities install them on their own—and now, we’re finally there.

On a different note, a story was recently written about us that I wanted to share. (Attached) We did end up receiving the endorsement to move forward to the next by City Council as mentioned in the article, which is a great milestone.
